18 Hard Realities You Have To Accept To Be Successful...

People get offended

People are not perfect. We are all set in our ways. And no matter how hard you try - you can't please everyone. Someone will always be offended. Keep doing what you think is right. But remember, that there will always be someone who will hate it.

If they hate you - they notice you

They say that if someone hates you they either see you as a threat or they want to be you. Hatred is the part of success, as much as jealousy is. Deal with it.

Being invisible is sometimes an advantage

If no one is noticing you - you still have an advantage. You do not have to deal with expectations. If you fail - no one will notice. And if you succeed - you will be a newborn star.

People judge

People will always judge. It's the part of our nature. We judge something we don't understand, something we don't accept or appreciate. If you think you're ready to step into the spotlight - be prepared for the people who will judge you whatever you do or don't do.
Just remember that it is important what you think of yourself. You also need to value other's people opinion, but your own comes first.

Don't mix up judgment and respect

Judgment is the thing that comes whether you want it or not. And respect is something that you need to deserve. People don't need to like you, but they will respect you if you deserve it.

Respect yourself

You can't expect others to respect you if you have no self-esteem. When you believe in yourself, others tend to believe what you have to say. People see what you put out there. So don't ever lower your standards.

Arrogance and self-respect are not the same

Tim Fargo once said that arrogance is the camouflage of insecurity. Success doesn’t have to come with an ego. Never forget to hold yourself accountable for every aspect of your life. This is how you’ll remain focused and humble.

People who don't respect you don't deserve your time

You only live once. Your time is precious, so why spend it on someone who treats you not the way you deserve. Don't let such people affect you. Do not waste your time and dignity to make someone appreciates you if they don't. Ignore them and strike them out of your life.

Treat good people you love

Whoever you are and whatever you do the only thing is more valuable than anything else. People who you love and who love you are the most precious. So they should always be a top priority. Show them your attitude and treat them well.

Confidence comes from the inside

Confidence is something you develop as you go through life and as you put yourself in new situations or new environments. Confidence is silent, insecurities are loud.

Learn how to stop worrying

If you will worry about everything and everyone - you will have a nervous breakdown. Eventually, worrying will never change an outcome. If you are worrying too much - you're spending your energy wrong.

It's OK to care about something

If you care about nothing and no one - you either stupid or dead inside. Caring about things and people that matter is not a weakness, it's maturity.

Release your inner child

Being too serious all the time can cause a heart attack. It's OK to be foolish once in a while. Everyone feels afraid and insecure sometimes. Being a child once in a while will cause no harm and might even help you with some new ideas.

Everyone is unique

Everyone has something nobody else has. We all are weird in our own way. And when you accept this weirdness - it becomes your advantage. Do not afraid to be weird and different.

Never let others limit you

You are the only person to decide what you can and what you can't do. Don't let anyone limit you or put you in a box. Embrace your talents and strengths, and go beyond what is required. You are the only person to set your boundaries.

Accept yourself

If you want to be successful you'll have to accept the truth about yourself no matter how awful it might be. Be honest with yourself about who you are and who you are not. If you're going to grow as a person, it's important to see unpleasant things for what they are.

Honesty doesn't mean cruelty

A knee-jerk reaction influenced by anger or panic can destroy a lifetime of work in one moment. Wait until you are calm before making a big decision. Everyone hurts. That's why it's important to be kind to everyone. Even a small gesture of kindness can have a big impact.

You need to feel pleasure from your work

If you are doing your job in order to receive only money out of it. You, firstly, won't be happy, and second - you won't succeed. If you are writing a book to receive money out of it - it will be a failure. Remember Aristotle: “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.”

If you will accept all or at least some of these philosophies it will be easier to master your life. And remember that success means different things to different people. So define it to yourself - and be successful.
